Just thought I would do my duty and say a big hello to everyone. I am a nuby to this site yet am a longtime downloader, actually the very first thing I downloaded was Adobe Photoshop 2.5 and that 2.5 should tell you just about when I got in the game.
As for me personally I am 34 years old, I shoot Architectural Photography for a living and have been into computers since my Cmmodore 64, Commodore 128, Amiga 500 days. I have thankfully never used a PC in my life and just purchased my 7th Macintosh with my new MacPro. Funny thing is I still have all of my old Macs and every single one of them is still running flawlessly. I support HD DVD and despise Sony and Blu Ray!
While I love computers, photography is my real passion and I shoot almost nothing but large format, 4x5 & 8x10 although I just did get into the digital game as I just purchased a new Hasselblad digital system and its pretty bad ass. I still prefer the old school methology with photography and that is shooting with film and working in the darkroom to develop and print and I will most likely always remain that way.
I have my own Architectural photo business and only work like 5 months out of the year which leaves alot of time to shoot for myself and for downloading .
So anyways here is a big shout out to everyone here. Glad to be a part of the community.
Its ok, PC users fear the Mac now because it is eating up marketshare right now like fruity pebbles. I will admit that new Commodore PC looks pretty bad ass but what computer wouldnt be for 4-5 grand. Anyways I love being the only Mac user out of my group of friends and listening to them bitch and moan about Windows and viruses and so on and so forth. Me I have never had a single virus in over 20 years of computing, have never had a computer break down in over 20 years of computing and I guarantee youll never find a PC user who can legitimally say the same thing.
