So, umm if you walk up behind it and drop a grenade or 3 into its exoskeleton, what happens? Like Vodka said, I'm pretty skeptical. Besides, most of the casualties in Iraq are from IED's, not combat.

That thing would be SO easy to take out. It doesn't have any microphones (that i know of) and even if it did, the control console most likely won't come equipped with surround speakers, so even if it could pick up sound, the operator wouldn't be able to tell what direction it's coming from. An insurgent with a baseball bat would simply have to run up behind it and smash it to pieces. Or, unless they already thought of some way to prevent this, he could simply pull the ammo belt/magazine out of the weapon. And failing that, you could just tip it on its side.

Predator-vision or something,and how does it distinguish foe from friend,

Just a gun + camera on a remote-controlled platform. A runaway diy project though it could be used to flush out targets or provide fire if the soldiers were pinned down by enemy fire.

It's remote controlled with cameras that can zoom in and still have good detail. According to the video it can determine if the safety is on or off at about 250feets.
It has a camera back so if the operator has the back camera on he can see if anyone comes from behind. The 360 degree rotating camera can be useful too. It is as fast as a running soldier and is supposedly very stable.

In case you don't smell the irony of the post and the fact that we are in the "Jokes, Stories, Quotes, Web games, Cool Links" section -- guess what --- this was ironic.
And i used the word " sandnigga " to display the amount of respect that the Americans have towards the Iraq people. I'm sure you will be amazed that i did not invent that word. No sir, this is a common word used by the US soldiers, word that is used to describe the people that inhabit those harsh places.
In a more serious manner, i'm amazed how US is investing so much money in military technology, wars and how they are harassing foreign countries for their own purpose when they could take care of their own problems - criminality, healthcare bla bla...
