It's an old topic, but I was wondering, what are your opinions about him? was he telling the truth? was he a hoax? was he from another timeline?
For those who don't know who John Titor is, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Titor
until this moment I still believe is an hoax, despite he has a very believable story, I will believe he is a hoax until some of his predictions start to happen, because even if he was from a different timeline, some of his predictions will have to come true, honestly I'll wait until 2008 to close this subject in my mind. According to Titor, there will be two major events in 2008, the first one is a escalating civil war within the U.S. that happens in the middle of 2008 and the other is the cancellation of the olympic games in china due to humanitary reasons. if one of those 2 events come to pass, I'll reconsider my opinion about Titor. for now is only a great storyteller, nothing more.

one of the things already kinda came true. Bush already made a law that would make him stay president (effectively overruling senat and the house of representatives in a dictatorly way) in a "country-threatening emergency"... i guess we ll see the rest in 2008

i used to read his site - johntitor.com - alot some years back.. was good reading and kinda exciting. however i havent read his page since 2003~ or so.. well ive browsed thru it occasionally.. but - i guess he has changed his timeline/stories.. because back then he didnt proclaim anything about 2008 nor the Olympics.. however he did proclaim that a 3rd World War would begin in 2012 killing billions and basicly only leaving australia and south america untouched.. as things are going now - im thinkin its plausible with a WW3.. anyhoo
lots of the "prophecies" he posted back then came true.. so im somewhat biased
