I have to hit F5 everytime I copy/paste/cut anything in windows explorer. Using Windows 7 64bit Ultimate (daz loader).

Anyone know how to get freaking windows7 to auto-refresh without hiting F5 all the time?!?!? XP never had this problem.

It happens for me from time to time. I wrote a small app to kill the explorer processes and relaunch it, which fixes the issue for me. Could upload if you want.

Still happening. I tried google and no luck. I edited this registry to value 0 - still not refreshing:

NOT WORKING-
2) Searched for occurrences of the word refresh and found this key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{BDEADE7F-C265-11D0-BCED-00A0C90AB50F}\Instance
which contains three subkeys. One of them, curiously enough, is DontRefresh and it has a value of 1 (turned ON)
3) I then changed the value to 0 (turned OFF) and hit F5 to refresh and save the now changed registry.

** I did a reboot and now its refreshing automatically. Ill keep the new registry modification set to 0 for now,.

Did you actually read my post? Killing the Explorer process and running it again fixes it.

My comments were made before your post. I am trying to fix this correctly without closing garbage. I thought Windows 7 was da bomb?!?! This is just one of many bugs I encounter with this POS MS OS system again. Glad I dont pay a dime for this garbage they release.

This is a problem in all explorers, it can happen in XP as well. I don't think the cause is fully known.

But you are welcome to move to Linux, where you might need to compile the kernel to install some driver. Laughing

It happen to me too.

Files deleted and move won't refresh on Share Folders or in Libraries Folder - Solved by going to Computer Properties and Click on the Experience Index and wait for it to load the scores. It work for me.

If you hate it, ignore it.
