to share some of my expirence with others about this unkown code, to maybe
find out what this error means.
Some history
one of the first Xbox bought in Denmark almost at release date
firmware upgraded to Xterme with Slax using Silicon PCI SATA card to get into ModeB
Never upgraded else and never got banned even if playing backups also non stealhed games
than got a Xeno Connectivty kit and upgraded from WinXP using Ixtreme1.2R3 after first restoring to org.bin
than after turning on my Xbox i got E76
What i have tried to fix it but without luck
Downgrade to org firmware.
Using Toolbox 4.0 for restoring backup from where the firmware was working Xtreme 1.0
Tried disabling Sata & power cable to Hitachi. still same error
Tried changing the fan and also disconnected
Take it totally apart and get it back again.
Tried some of the solution about network. connected Wireless and RJ45
started with network cable and PGR3 original in Hitachi both with Ixtreme and Org firmware
compare checksum and Drive Key
Upgraded with 3 diffrent Sata controllers Jmicron,Intel Matrix & silicon image
Upgraded from two diffrent computers.
Tried all combination of xbox hardware connected and disconnected
also with all hardware changed from another xbox
Discconnecting AV cable activates another Red ring as normal
Connecting the harddisk makes the xbox survive longer before the E76
overheating the xbox result in normal 1011 error and than returns to E76
when pressing Xbox connect button and eject i get 1030 as secondary code
start the xbox with pressing Eject
Rumors about this error
some says it solves to connect a RJ45 with a game inserted
it could be if not all the screws on the bottom is tight enough to transfere heat
hope somebody can use this for not wasting time on things already tried
please post if others got E76 what the secondary code is by pressing connect and eject
