|
 |
i've got a 60GB PS3,from the first ones that came out in Europe, and i was thinkin' (not now,in a future) to replace it with a bigger HD..but i've got some questions:
1.How much maximum space the PS3 can hold of a new HD?
2.Wich format can i use?,needs a format before puttin' the HD in the console?
3.Is there a way to make a backup copy of the system configurations (Network n other stuff) aswell as my music photos movies and savegames (except the games installation) ?
4.Can i also save the Playstation Network info?
5.Recommended RPM?
6.Anything else i should kno'?

Yes you can. In fact pretty much any 2.5" S-ATA disk.
1.Not sure what is the maximum allowed space, if any, but people have used disks with 500gb fine.
2. See above, any 2.5" S-ATA disk.
3. Yes you can, not sure about the system configuration though.
4. Don't know.
5. Both 5400 and 7200 RPM works fine.
6. File system must be FAT32.
