I would recommend you buy either the Ati X800 PRO 256mb or the Ati X800 XT 256mb/512mb.

I dont think these cards have a reasonable price.
I would wait until mid-range cards wich are based on the R420 show up.

hi depending on your price range, and availabilty, id go with an x800 pro and do the 12 -16 pipe mod, since you have a reasonable card right now. my guess you have a little extra cash flow to burn. im an nvidia fanboy myself but latley theve been slacking a little bit, like others said you could wait a month or 2 and get e decent card for like 50-100 cheaper. just my 2 cents. BTW i have a geforce ti4600 still rocks. pci express just around the corner. Cool

Take a few months and look around around. Read alot of reviews, 2 at least for each card. If you have a good income, buy a card that outperfomes your current setup and upgrade the rest of your hardware later.

Hardware: Ryzen 3700x, B450 MSI Gaming Pro carbon AC, GTX1080, 32 GB 3200 Mhz cas 14, 256 EVO SSD, 1 TB EVO SSD and 4 TB HDD.
Console: xbox, wii and xbox 360

I would get a 128MB card like ATi Radeon 9800 Pro cause games dont need that all that memory yet, and by the time they do all the cards will be PCI-Express..

9800pro would be a good "affordable" choice, followed by the 9600XT if really on a shorter budget. I personally ordered the X800XT PE, it's a lot more but if you consider it on the long run it worth every penny.

Buying a 300$ card now (canadian money!), having an average gaming experience and having to upgrade in 1 or 1 1/2 year because it's really a pain and you can't run any game anymore. Or buying a 600$ card that will deliver an absolutely kickass performance for the next 1 - 1 1/2 year and will still a midle range card in 2 years.

Gfx cards are almost never reasonable in price... except ATI9800 since the X800 is coming... Go for ATI and you will be satisfied.

I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on disk somewhere...

If you want a cheap replacement get the 9600SE for like 50 bucks. Good card to play current games on.
