I have already 1GB DDR2 667MHz. So i can't decide what to buy. If i buy +1 GB, dual channel mode will be activated. So is it better to have 2GB with dual channel or 3GB (3 modules) without dual channel?

go dual with 2 gigs but if you are planning to have vista in the future then 3 gigs are recommended , but for now 2 gigs are enough

I added another stick of ram and nearly fell off my chair when I ran a Quickpar repair.

In other words buy it

No real use (currently) for 3GB+, unless you are dealing with memory intensive tasks such as video editing and/or 3d modeling. Judging by the question, you do neither, so go with 2gb dual channel.

I'll jump into this thread if you don't mind, I'm thinking of getting another stick of RAM too and I need to know if I can use this memory in dual channel.

Currently I have this RAM :

Corsair 1GB DDR2 667MHz/PC2-5400 Memory Non-ECC Unbuffered CL5

I want to add this RAM to it :

Corsair 1GB DDR2 675MHz/PC2-5400 XMS2 Memory Non-ECC Unbuffered CL4

Will this work ok? The clock timings are different so I'm not sure if it would work on dual channel or not Confused
