As far as i know there is still no support for Sound Blaster X-Fi, VISTA.
There are drivers and stuff but no application where you can control EAX etc.
Is there some other, beta or 3rd party apps that one can use here?

Got hold of the Creative_X-fi_for_Vista-ISO-CRM-2007. It has the "Creative Console Launcher"
So problem solved!

is there a sigmatel or intel update for audio for vista?..when i made my last win' update i had no sound!!!

Oh and cptn, how do you put the icons of the desktop on small? Mine are huge and i dont know how to change it. Thanx!

Not sure what you mean there. You mean the overall icons on your DT or? I simply use my screen res for the DT 1280x1024. Don't think I use any other "special" setting for the icons...that i know of.

Oh, i fixed the problem. My DT was on 1680x1050, but then again it wasnt. So i put it on 1680x1050 again and now everything is alright, i thought Vista has those large icons, i was wrong. Anyway its fixed, now i just need that Creative CD to get all the things for my X-fi sound card.

Bah sorted it - was going to say that whilst on the desktop, if you hold down Control key and roll your mouse roller the icons resize.

Hello Captain,
I installed everything from that cd, but i have a weird problem. i have 7.1 sound and when i test the channels, i hear music through every channel, but when i play music with Winamp, WMP or that Mediasource, i only get sound from my front speakers, even though its set on 7.1. Do you have the same problem and if you don't, how did you fix it?
