Borrowed from a friend a xbox360 with two org games (its not moded), giving it back this week ... and when playing those console games it struck me , are all xbox 360 games that short ?
i mean finished gears of war in 6h (2 days) , crack down in 3 days (6-7 h played like 2-3 h a day)
now i don`t even what to buy a xbox360 anymore , but still some where inside my consciousness screams wait for "Too human" and "Mass Effect" and then buy it
so i ask you what are your experiences with this console
o and i add i hate : racing games , stupid kids RPGs manga like and Mortal combat games

ANY GAME IN HISTORY is short if you just blow through the standard straight up "story" mode.
ahm no Fallout 2 needed 2 months just to only finish the main quest and other 2 months just to finish the side quests
hmmm just like i have though they know that they games are short thats why they force you to replay it more precise to unlock some crap , like that tommy gun for Godfather
this remembers me the Book from Will Wright how not to make games "A Theory of Fun for Game Design"

he only has 2 games that where included with the console , mostly he uses the 360 as a dvd player

Races and RPG (2 weeks/months),
platformers , fps(normaly i finish them in 2 - 4 days)
Fighters , strategy games (infinity)
Look at the genre of games you were playing, no matter what platform they're played on these kind of games only have a limited single player, 10 hours is considered a long time.
If you want to whine, whine about the state of games today. It's not limited to the 360.

yeah i know but its just sick that they still use the same sucky standard from the old consoles that forced you to finish a game in one sitting (well now you have save points but still its the same ), or the console players became so moronic that if a game is longer then 10h they say "nice game but it gets boring after 6h " - why not just play for a few hours and then play it again tomorrow or later .
i hate the games of today that are manipulated for the rating system , have became a movie like entertainment with the same duration as movies , with brain dead stories only to show new graphics and not playability/ the fun factor - oh and when they lack of the story WHY not just remake a old game with a story and add new graphics ... its just sick
or our standards became so high we no longer know what we what , spoiled by the movie vision of the future ....

At the end of the day all a single player game is about is achieving objectives set by the developers. Achievement points are just an extension of that.
But by Sad-persona's "everything should be free" comment it seems he doesn't even know what they are.
