Irish-born newcomer Ferdia Shaw has been cast in the lead role of Disney’s Artemis Fowl, the live-action adaptation of Eoin Colfer’s children’s books. Josh Gad, Judi Dench, Lara McDonnell and Nonso Anozie have also joined the cast of the pic, which Kenneth Branagh is aboard to direct from Conor McPherson’s script. Shooting starts early next year in the UK.
Kenneth Branagh as director? Interesting but I remember reading only the first novel ages ago and I'm pretty sure that Artemis is the 'villain' at the beginning.
A friend who used to read the books as a kid died inside after watching the trailer last year. Watching the new one killed off any interest he had in watching a live action version
Can't believe that horrid white gown lady flying scene is still there
