Noob questions ahead ^^;; 1.Can i combine different RAM marks on the same MoBo?..i've got an intel 975XBX with 775 Socket and it says i can use 667 n 533mhz DDR2 ram Types.Does that means that i can put KINGSTON memories combined with Non-Kingston memories?..i haven't checked if my RAM's are kingston (at school) ^^;.. 2.Actually i've got 2GB of RAM..will game n system performance (Win.XP) improve I set it up 2 3 or 4GB?..how about Vista Home Premium? 3.Willl a Intel C2D E6600 2,4Ghz with 1066mhz bus work on my 775 Socket from the 975XBX?..i mean the insertion and proper functionality. Thx in advance.

1- Yes you can mix them as long as they are all DDR2. They will run on the speed of the slowest one (if speeds are different). But as far as I know it is advised to use always the same brand/kind of ram, 'cause with 2 identical sticks you can run it on dual channel (and its faster that way). 2- I dont think it will improve much. Also, afaik only Vista 64 can really use more than 2gb? 3- "The Intel 975XBX, known by most as the BadAxe, was the first motherboard to officially support Core 2 Duo." ... So yes, I think it will work.

Only thing having more memory for performance will do you good is in video games.

i've seen on EVEREST that my DDR2 RAM is of 533mhz,so i'll get 533Mhz's instead of higher ones and lose case for nothing but the same speed..a friend told me that i should better get a KINGSTON 1GB DD2 533mhz memories incase i wanna expand my RAM. Thanks anyways!
