i don't know if it's the right place to write this but anyway....
i tried adding a new contact to my Ymess list and it did not show up in the list. an error appears and it says:
"your request to add a contact has taken longer than expected to complete.
the operation may have succeeded. please check your messenger list later"
it's not working. that contact just won't appear.
that contact also tried to add me in his list and he couldn't either. just like in my case, same error, no add in the list.
THE PROBLEM!!
Everytime i login that window "add to messenger list" appears asking me if i want that contact to see me when i'm online. whatever i try to do, it's not working!! i tried even ignoring that user. nothing work. it continues showing up.
So guys, if any of you has any idea on how to get rid of this error pls PM me (i don't read this part of the forum to often). 10x guys. owe you one
hmmm you could try pidgin , an open source messenger that can also handle aim and msn protocol , and see if it works then or gives a more detailed error message
