What follows will be a description of my upgrade soon to be, but not yet implemented. My main concern is PSU. Will it be enough? So please indulge me and feel free to give your much appreciated opinions where you all see fit.

AMD Opteron 180 dual-core 2400MHz (939) -- Upgraded from an AMD Venice 64 3800+ @2400 MHz
Asus A8N-E (bios 1013)
2 X 512 Kingston DDR PC3200/400
Gainward 8800GTS 320MB-- Upgraded from a GeForce 6800GT 256MB
1x Maxtor Diamond Max 300GB SATA HDD
2x DVD/RW drives
+
1x USB external HDD 500GB
1x USB Printer/Scanner
1x Wireless PCI Adapter card
Thermaltake black aluminum full tower blue LED case-- How big is the 8800GTS?
(fans: front; 120x120x25mm fan 2000RPM Rear;120x120x25mm blue LED fan, 2000RPM)
BENQ FP91V+ 19" TFT monitor

500W ATX PSU (Ednet, Germany)
Output +3.3V@28A; +5V@30A; -5V@0.3A; +12V@34A; -12V@0.8A; +5VSB@3.0A

Is 34a on the 12V rail enough for the 8800GTS?
Any other comments about the above system would be welcomed. Thanks in Advance.

I'm just curious why with all that badass hardware your only using 1 gig of memory?

I think it more depends on what PSU you have. Some rate them at different ratings so when yours heats up your not getting the wattage advertised. If it's any help I've got

Some randmon dvd burner not important
Sound Audigy ZS 2 platnium (with front bezel)
X2 4400
2 gig OCZ ddr
2 80 gig HD's and a 500
7900GS KO

All on a 510 watt rated at 60C and I believe the one im using will be able to handle the 8800GTS as well.

The voltage on your 12v rail is acceptable and could easily handle a 8800GTX...
