8600 > x1950

DX10 games just have to come out so you could see the difference in performance.

tbh m8 wait for the dx10 games to start coming out hopefully mid sept time then save up now and buy a next gen dx10 card Smile
just stick with what you have for the time being.

... or better freeze yourself with some gold and some games u couldn't run recently on max [coz u never know how money turn out in the future, gold is always gold ]
after 5-10 years get out and get yourself something like 1000000000GTXSZXSSXLL card with 50ghz cpu and play all old games on high

on the subject anyone knows how much Watt that monster require to run?

one guy selling it for 180 euro, so sounds tempting Cool

The entire 8600 series is absolutely pathetic as countless reviews have displayed. Do what they said, either wait for a better card and keep what you have or buy something higher up now.

Unlike the 8800 the 8600 does not exactly shine in DX9 so um what good is it gonna do you to buy it now and wait till who knows when for a DX10 capable game to find out it performs like shit.
