Im trying to make an HTPC system. with my current Hardware (see my sig).
now I've just noticed that when im downloading a 720,1080 high defenition trailers (for e.g world in crysis),they really lag,I mean its barely watchable.
is that my hardware or something that I need to download???

It is your CPU, HD vids require a lot of CPU for decoding, on my old athlon 64 3500+ h.264 1080p vids are unwatchable because of lag and sound desynchronization, while i can watch HDTV (pci card) on the same PC and in the same resolution without any problem (coz no software decoding is involved).

ok i thought 360 supports full hd, but when i tried to watch gta4 trailer [60mb] on it it lagged even worse than on my pc, some hd videos run perfect some lag like hell and it has nothing to do with file format .wmv or .avi

using KMP player and i found it's best so far for playing everything
