I finished Deus Ex four weeks ago for the n-th time and today I reinstalled MOH PA after watching Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima one after another )

You don't need to defend those graphics. I haven't played Deus Ex in years, and they still look good to me.

If you add the mod pack mentioned earlier in the thread, could you post a few screenies of that too?

HDTP is the only high res mod and its not released yet, they are aiming for a release at the end of 2007 or something like that.

Nope, there is Release #1 of HDTP ...about 18Mb big.

This is my Nr.1 game, still playing it when im bored. Very Happy
But the real shit im looking forward is RolePlay Coop Mod

Code:
RolePlay Coop is a modification that adds cooperative gameplay mode to the first Deus Ex game.

This mod lets you play the SinglePlayer missions together with your friends. Gameplay is unchanged: there is a main protagonist, persistent storyline, resources are limited and every living being has only one life.

To keep the immersion on high level and storyline intact this mod doesnt introduce any characters whose presence could conflict in obvious way with the story.

The world of Deus Ex is populated with many non-player characters. Unfortunately all those characters have very limited dialogues and action sets, there's minimal amount of interaction. Have you ever wondered what would some characters do or say if they could do anything? Would they help you and how? Who are they, what skills do they possess, what's their story?

RolePlay Coop revolves around those seemingly non-important characters. The main protagonist has been given an action he might have not considered before: asking common people to help him. Those who will agree to help him can be controlled by the real players. What will they do and who they will be is up to you. NPC characters can now walk out from the shadows and make a difference in the Deus Ex world. In the real world you and your friends can experience a truly unique adventure.

That is the key difference between the RolePlay Coop mod and typical Coop mods. There is no army of main protagonist clones or anonymous characters. There is JC Denton and all the people who inhabit the Deus Ex world, more human than ever before.

try "vampire: masquerade - bloodlines"
sure, it's vampires instead of cyberpunk, but as an experience the next closest thing
remember the latest unofficial patch

But it was YOU who brought up the graphics in the first place making that statement!
Now let the rest of us bash it to death Twisted Evil

you only need the latest one
fixes a shitload of bugs and adds content that was planned and started but left unfinished and disabled for the final game (yay for releasing games early, bastard publishers)

First retail game that used Source engine, before HL2 itself.

And yeah, both Deus Ex and Bloodlines are excellent games(and I played Bloodlines at release without any patches, had some major bugs, but worked through them, and still loved the game Smile )

BTW, Deus Ex 2 looks much better than I remember it: http://images.google.com/images?q=deus%20ex%202

I might give it another shot.

Won't play Deus Ex again coz I just finished it couple of months ago...
