Based on Jack Carr’s bestseller, the story follows a Navy SEAL (Pratt) who is the sole survivor of a high-stakes covert mission gone wrong.
Conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability lead him to uncover evidence of dark forces working against him and his family.
The series’ massive cast includes Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch, Jai Courtney, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Riley Keough, Arlo Mertz, JD Pardo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, LaMonica Garrett, Stephen Bishop, Sean Gunn, Tyner Rushing, Jared Shaw, Christina Vidal, Nick Chinlund, Matthew Rauch, Warren Kole and Alexis Louder.
Amazon will reportedly release all eight episodes that day (July 1st) as opposed to a weekly rollout. Pratt, Antoine Fuqua and Jon Schumacher executive produce the series.

Enjoyed it. The entire cast is pretty solid. Although there are some minor plot holes and some parts of the story drag out a bit longer, all in all, its pretty good. Hope there will be a season 2, though I am afraid they will use some sort of stupid plot to keep him alive.

8/10 for me.
I believe there are 3-4 books in the series and I think Jack Carr (Pratt in this case) is in all of them. No idea how they will setup season 2 as I've not read the books, but in the show they mentioned that it looked as if what he had was operable and just needed time.

Who cares about gameplay. It's one of the few next-gen looking titles out there so BRING IT ON.
I watched this over the last few days, it was decent as a binge show but I have hard time seeing Pratt as a bad ass super soldier. He works better for me as the somewhat goofy soldiers like Star-Lord. Since I did not know there was multiple books I was thinking if they did anything more it might be a prequel with Ben but Pratt made like 1.5 million an episode plus probably extra for his producing credit so I guess we will be seeing more of him as Amazon seems to love Pratt.
Finished first season as well. It's good old 'merica guns blazing with nice scenery. The writing doesn't make much sense most of the time and questionable here and there but the action was good so overall the show worked.
Lasted 25 minutes. Chris Pratt is just not good anymore. Overworked and used up like a cheap hore. Bad acting, Same old story, scenes too dark, just boring overall. Avoid!
Amazon Prime Video has confirmed the trade reports that the Chris Pratt-led show has been renewed for a second season, and that an untitled prequel series focusing on Taylor Kitsch’s fan-favorite Ben Edward will be produced.
Now, they’ve confirmed the second season won’t be jumping ahead (ala their “Reacher” series) and will be based on the second book in Carr’s James Reece series “True Believer”. That book series contains six novels thus far.
In that book, former Navy SEAL James Reece has fled the United States for the wilds of Mozambique. When a string of horrific terrorist attacks plagues the Western world, the CIA tracks him down and recruits him, reluctantly, to travel the globe and target terrorist leaders all whilst unravelling a geopolitical conspiracy.
Meanwhile, they’ve also confirmed what other Carr-created characters will be popping up in the prequel series which is being co-created by Carr and creator-showrunner David DiGilio.
Kitsch’s Ben will lead the proceedings with Pratt’s James Reece also appearing. As previously reported, the character of South African former SEAL Raife Hastings will be a key one and should appear in both the main show’s second season and the prequel spin-off.
Also popping up in the prequel are Mohammed Farooq and Ernest ‘Boozer’ Vickers, the latter played in the first season by series producer Jared Shaw.
The prequel is dubbed an elevated espionage thriller that takes viewers on Edwards’ journey from Navy SEAL to CIA paramilitary operator – and will explore the darker side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it.
