Till 2005 I only had the PC. I played all the games on the PC and was a self-confessed console-hater. Last year I finally decided to get a 360. Now I own a 360, Wii and PS3. Yesterday I got hold of Stalker for the PC. I have been waiting to play that game for a while. After playing 10 minutes, I quit the game and went back to Gears of War on the 360. Same thing happened earlier with Supreme Commander,a nother of my much anticipated titles, spent maybe 30 minutes on the game and never have touched it again. It seems like I prefer even the crappy Red Steel over something like Stalker or Supreme Commander or any of the recent PC titles!!!!

I tend to go through phases. The problem with PCs, is when you buy a new video card you're good for 3 months max before you find yourself spending more time with optimisation faqs than actually playing games.
I tend to buy a new card every couple of years to 'catch up' with the triple a games released to that point.

Meh..the more to pick from, the better I say. But I think it depends alot on what life is like at the time, when I am working alot and always gone except an hr here or there, I play console games. Like on the Wii, playing SSX Blur-nice fun relaxing game. GOW the same, arcade-ish shoot'em'up on crack basically, doesn't require much brainpower, just mashing buttons, so its quick n easy fun. As far as playing games when I'm waiting on something, I like to play DS games like FF3 or the brain training games. Good 15 mins of fun or so, no deep and involving stuff.
But I think the PC is great when you get a chance and really get deeply involved with a game. Right now I have some time off so STALKER is perfect. It won't win you over in less than 30 mins, but once you play for a few hrs you will be hooked. I hope I will be able to dedicate more time to playing it but might be awhile, sadly. So yeah, might be soon back to the consoles n handheld mainly, just play STALKER n the other upcoming PC games on the weekends.

Hehe, I can only agree with what most people have been saying.
I've had consoles since the first nintendo, skipping a few of course but the latest years i've been playing the ps, ps2, xbox and now recently the 360. Up until the 360 i've mostly had the consoles for sports and fighting-games. And of course for the times you want some fast fun with your friends.
But recently i've actually been opting for the 360 over the PC for even FPS's. And that for me is huge. I never understood FPS's on consoles before but now I love it. Sure it's not as easy as the PC controlwise but I love how much more intense it feels playing on my 50 inch LCD on 720p with the 7.1 surround blasting away
Sure does beat my 22 inch and headphones.

Agree, and I think MasterJuba is spot on about the less hassle thing. I haven't even downloaded STALKER, even though it's a game I normally would've looked forward to. I just can't be bothered with all the crashes and shite that will come out of it

Shit I've been a console gamer all the way .... I've never played a game on a computer, well except Championship Manager .... oh well since the Amiga 500 & Spectrum 48k if that's actually classed as a computer.
Maybe that's why I'm bored with all the PC related games that the 360 seems to get all the time ..... I got ADD so installing a game and doing all that shit has never appealed to me, I wanna press play and sit back

Much like me, except i have both PC and Consoles hooked to my Projector. I used to alsmost exclusivly game SP on PC, and sports/fighting on consoles. Now i dont even bother checking the PC scene much anymore. Another stange thing i noticed, in the past i only bought MP PC games, and now i havent even bothered to mod my 360, and i have bought over 20 games.

Its quite the opposite for me. I barely play my 360 these days despite having all the latest games. Yesterday I also got Stalker but played it for 10 hours straight and tonight I played it for another 4 hours. Damn love the game despite it being hard as nails and frustrating since my pc isnt exactly up to date!
May the NFOrce be with you always.

TBH I've been playing PS2 more than 360. All this shit about 3 red lights, and the fact that the firmware is modded so can't be sent for repair means I've got it in my head that the thing is fragile, and needs to be used sparringly.
Good job I like fighting games.

Well, I'm back to 360 too now after the disappointing STALKER ending... (

It is the other way around for me. I cant play my x360 for more than 30 minutes, i just get so bored. The only game i played longer was GRAW2, but not much longer. After playing with the joystick i realize just how much the mouse and KB own, its probably because i get my ass handed to me in GOW and Lost planet.

I used to swear by the PC as well. But now (except for FPSs) I prefer to play a game on my 360. The last good PC game I played was F.E.A.R.
