Available: Fall 2016
Quote:
Maize is a first-person adventure game about what happens when two scientists misinterpret a memo from the U.S. Government and create sentient corn. And that last sentence is pretty much the least ridiculous thing about the game.

Explore an abandoned farm and a not-so-abandoned underground research facility as you uncover the mysteries around Maize, and possibly learn a bit about yourself along the way. Or maybe not.

With a colourful cast of characters and an absolutely absurd world, Maize offers up a unique experience that keeps the surprises coming. Seriously, they’re everywhere.

Maize will be released in Fall 2016, just in time for harvest.
Features
  • Immerse yourself and explore Maize’s fully-realized environment, featuring a cornucopia of areas to explore (see what we did there?)
  • Solve environmental puzzles that get more and more absurd the further you delve into the adventure
  • Uncover the secrets of Maize’s world, as you try and figure out what it is the corn really want, aside from a very good nap
  • Meet some friends and enemies along the way, which include a very small grumpy Russian robot bear and an unhinged corn stalk who’s a bit of a jerk

"P" is not the same as "C", stupid scientist ruined what could have been a glorious step for mankind. Razz

EDIT: Yep, was definitively a typo that caused this.

...EDIT: Then again having seen AMV Hell 0 and -0 some years back well corn works I guess, to some.

Screw the corn, if I see any kids in the cornfield I'm shooting them right away.

Just stumbled upon the game after reading an article:
https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2016/09/29/maize-game/

The graphics and art really look good.
And the game is basically a first-person point-and-click adventure.
The author was a bit disappointed in the puzzles though, and that the game never really told what the whole point of your adventure is.

Wishlisted for now, as it looks interesting.

Steam reviews seem to indicate that it's a quirky, funny adventure game but it holds your hand and provides hints frequently (Which are funny but maybe a bit too helpful according to one review.) and overall length is ~4 hours, might be worth a download at least though since that sounds pretty much exactly like Daedalics recent "Silence" adventure game which is also a bit too hand-holding but still funny yet a bit too short.

EDIT:
http://steamcommunity.com/app/284240/discussions/0/343786195664586131/

Developer puts it at around 6 - 10 hours in length and usually the estimated playtime from a developer tends to be very generous to where your average player could probably finish the game at almost half the estimated time unless they try to do absolutely everything in the game.
