Umm, I need to cut big (1.5-2) gig AVI files into smaller chunks like 2 or 3. I grabbed several apps that have a keyword 'splitter" in their names like AVI Splitter, All-Video-Splitter, tried them all and I still can't get what I need. The problem is the resulting chuks have slightly desynched audio/video or if you say to cut a 1.5 gig file EXACTLY in two you still get one 900 mb chunk and one 600 mb.
Any ideas on how to get what I want?

P.S. It must be split WITHOUT recompression.

Only program I know that can cut avi files is virtualdub. You can grab it from doom9.something.

nandub is obsolete
use virtualdubmod
it can handle VBR audio
when you open the file with it, it will whine about the VBR header
answer NO to it or it will go out of sync
set video as direct stream copy
use ctrl+right/left keys to move from keyframe to keyframe
you can only cut at a keyframe without recompressing the file
