Hello, all!

I have the original NFS:CARBON CE.

As you all know, there's no way to lan play without going to EA Nation. What I would like to know is if there is a way to bypass that connection, and redirect it to my home server, either by editing the dll or exe files, or any other way.

I think by owning the game, I can do that (if it is even possible).

Please warn me if I'm breaking the forum rules or if I'm right, please indicate how should I do that.

(sorry for bad english)

Thanks, any help would be much apreciated

Sorry to disappoint you but it is not possible as of yet. Some guys at the Need for Speed Zone forum are trying to work it out

Check http://www.nfszone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2759

It seems that stupid EA uses SSL encryption for server/client authentication and things are looking bad. It is not as easy as with nfs underground. But who knows, maybe that como2k guy can make a breakthrough after all.

Anyone reading this who is knowledgeable about network coding/packet sniffing or even software reverse engineering, should get in touch with him and help out.

So, 50 € down the toilet !!!

Do you think they would give my money back?

I'm really NOT into a racing game that does'n't have LAN.

Or maybe wait for a genious to change the client/server thing

Thanks for the reply!
