Hallo. I am new here and writting from Greece.

I have a problem with "Battle For Midle Earth 2" and with the "Wich King"expansion.
Both games play run correctly but the LAN mode doesnt work at all.
I can create a stage but when others try to join a message apears that says
"Host wants to start game but cannot because one or more others are not ready".
This same problem happens with "World of Warcraft" and the "Frozen Throne"
expansion.
In this games i have instaled the update paches that come within the crack file.
Thank you for all your help in advance....

Have you disabled all firewalls and opened required ports in your router? Just a guess, sounds like a network connection error

Yes i disabled the firewalls but not opened required ports in my router cause i think that for LOCAL LAN i dont have to do it. What do you think Nick?

EA have implemented a new security feature which most groups have overlooked since
the later patches for NFS:MW and other EA titles since then (including the BFME series). That
particular feature will randomize the version numbers of all the games started, which means
it's impossible to setup a local LAN game. I only briefly studied the protection so I can only
say how it works, not how you can go around it - I suspect them groups will sooner or later
figure out what they have overlooked.

The same "error" is present in all the newer EA titles since NFS:MW (patch 3 or so), and
BFME 2, Patch 1.5 and beyond - as well as included in all EA titles released since then, including
the addon pack that this particular topic questioned.

If this problem is really a security feature then it manifests itself only when using cracks. People who experience these problems should try to run the game in question emulated (using a full clone or a mini image that is) and see if LAN mode works fine then.
