Some recent PS2 DVD games I burned don't work... coincidence? Don't know. Downloaded 007 Everything or nothing, Shellshock Nam 67, Street Racing Syndicate, and now Burnout 3... All just give me a black screen when booting. It has always worked before by just burning the iso image in Recordnow Max, 1 speed, have been using the same media for over a year... Does anyone know if it might be the releases? I use a flip-top with the Action Replay 2 swap trick. It has always worked for me, and I've succesfully burned over 30 games. I didn't change anything to my burner, app settings, firmware... Also it isn't a TOC size problem, I'm sure of that because I use Devil may Cry to swap which has the biggest possible. Now the weird thing is, that f.e. Dynasty Warriors 4 Empires, which I burned right before Burnout 3, DID work. So I'm guessing it might have something to do with me using the swap trick. Does anyone else have problems with the releases I mentioned? Maybe some other people who swap? Could there be something like a form of protection against swapping on new releases?

Street Racing- Mine booted fine - but eventually froze at the FMV part of the game..I believe it was a bad burn--i did not get a black screen. Dynasty Warriors - worked fine. WIll try Burnout 3 tonight.. Im using Neo4, GTA Swap disc..Burning at 4x-Alcohol- sonic Media.. Do your other games work?? maybe your laser is dying. Try getting some Ritek G04 Dye based discs, they kick ass when it comes to PS2 Also, some Games dont work on certain discs, like I have ATV Off Roader 2 and It wouldnt work when burnt on my Packard Bell Disc (Which usually works on my PS2) but when burnt to a G04 Disc it works fine Also that Socom US Navy seals game, Wouldnt work on a G04 Disc but worked on a Packard Bell. All the other games work. Ironically enough, I burn everything on Ritek G04 Very Happy

yup G04 is best, but try a differnet disc thats what I do when it doesnt work George W Bush - '...more and more of our imports are coming from overseas.'

both 007 and burnout works perfect for me. i have a duo2 (direct boot) chip and using verbatim dvd+rw or sony dvd+r. maybe it is a swap issue.....

I have all thoss games aswell and all of them are working 100% I am using a old messiah chip. and a PAL ps2
