|
 |
Hi,
i have a Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2x 1.86GHz, 1GB ram, 7600GT GFX etc. and a friend has
the same pc but WITH AMD 3500+ (no dual core) and rainbow six: Vegas(with 1.03 patch) works better than on my machine, i looked at his task manager and CPU usage is 100% and game consumes about 450MB of RAM but on my machine cpu usage is about 55% and ONLY about 150MB RAM.
We both have win XP SP2
Can anybody explain it why it is so?!

Rainbow Six Vegas doesn't support Dual Core CPU's, therefore it only uses 1 of your 2 cores, hence 50% CPU resources taken. Amount of RAM, well, I'm not sure however you can run games at certain intervals and uses alot more RAM than it does at other places, maybe the position you looked at his RAM he was in a different section of the game than you were when you check your computer?
