Recently Upgraded from an AMD 64 X2 3800 to an AMD 64 FX60. Went to overclock the FX from 2.6 to 2.8...Success....Now onto 3.0.....Hmm...System woun't boot....(Or post)...so I rest the BIOS and returned the CPU to 2.6 Ghz....Problem now, is I can't powerdown....When I am running windows and select 'Turn off Comp'....The comp Shuts down, But doe NOT power off....By that I mean, the GPU stops sending a sigle to the monitor, and the Case lights all go out, But all the fans keep runnning......Only way to reset it, is to flip the Toggle switch on the back of my PSU.....Thinking I did something to the PSU, I went out and bought a newer (And better one)....But the same results....I get the same results if I HOLD in the powe button....Comp Shuts down, but does'nt Power down (Completely turn off).....Please help, as this is driving me up a wall....Thanks in advance!!

BTW...My BIOS is st up correctly, (The Power button is optioned to turn off Power, Etc)

Check if ACPI is enabled in your BIOS, when you cleared the CMOS it might have set it to enabled and could be causing the PC to enter a hibernation state rather than shutting the PC off completely. If it is on, try turning it off and see if it fixes your issue.

Ack, okay better turn it back on. Try shutting down but holding your power button for 10 to 15 seconds and see if it all turns off properly, rather than just pressing it.
