Er what would you like to know Saint. Ancient history isn't a strong subject for me seeing as I'm a Modern Historian. But I will do my utmost to help you. Bearing in mind I've not read the book. You're going to have to read the book as it's part of your curriculum . I've just read the first five pages and I'll tell you this. Talk about a major snorefest.
Just ignore Cambridge anyway. It's full of Soviet spies and snobs.

What subject is it for?
History?
Just be thankful that it's not Shakespear you're not reading. I reckon he should be charged by the U N for torture of adults and small children alike. As an English speaker as my native tongue even I find ye olde English difficult. I find myself reading passages of the books again and again just to get my head around it.

Shakespeare speaks in correct english, words from that time period are simply not used any more. If you want some really hard "english" check out Chaucer, his books are written in middle english, I had to learn it for my A-Level english class.. horrible language..

Actually Englisg is a fast evolving language and theres no set correct version at any one time. It could be said that the Oxford dictionary is the standard, but that has hundreds of words added and removed each year.

middle english is tough its like fewkin fresian.
and oxbridge are better than harvard, its just america makes the fuckin rankings.
american degrees are much easier.
thats why an english degree is better for employment than an american one. of course in america its a toss up, but in england......
