i got in on 2 great deals, a 7900gto that o/cs to 7900 GTX for 230 dollars, and a 8800 gts for 350 dollars

I can return the 8800 for free because they shipped it before I could cancel my order. For the 7900 I will have to sell on Ebay, and take a hit because of fees and shipping.

As far as PC gaming goes, I am still trying to finish Prey, Company of Heroes and Call of Juarez...

What is you question? Which one to take? 8800GTS is the obvious answer.

I'm not so sure.. I don't think the 8800 is worth the money as in time newer cards will be released.. the question is really if the 7900 will be ok for your gaming needs until you can spend more on a better card?

with 100$ gap i'd say go for 8800, now if it was twise as much i'd say yeah stick to 7900
swaping 7900GS to GTX is kinda....pointless, especialy after u already switched from 7800 to 7900 Razz

I dont know whats up with Nvidia and their 8800s. The driver support so far has been "meh", and theres no support on Vista yet..and these are supposed to be Directx10 compatible!!!! I have vista ultimate ready to go but cant install it because the cards are not supported

I think they wanted to get those cards out for bragging rights without doing all that was needed first, cause atm, I do believe ATI has nothing on it. So with it being DX10 and massive awsome galore, their taking even ATI's fans possibly?
