New Features :

Quote:
- UMD-VIDEO Region free
- PSP kernel Region selector
- O/X button selector

- Flash player Enableing option
- SCE psone emulator drm protection hacked (Share games on internet, No PSP limit)

What it can't do :

- Use Korean fonts

The Psone emulator stuff looks very interesting at the moment. Too bad not alot of games are supported Sad

You can't use any PS1 games until you get a PS3 and do it yourself OR wait until someone dumps the games.

Mathieulh announced it and he works with Dark_Alex, So I think he was involved with this. However he did say he was leaving but I think hes changed his mind by the looks of it. Razz

However, I think i'm going to wait before flashing it to my PSP since sony have already released 3.03 so I'll wait and see if theres going to be support for that.

Edit : Dark_Alex removed the DRM protection so i'm told.

Suprised they've not already since some release groups such as PARADOX / DANAROX already have access to PS3's.

They would have been useless until now though, so im guessing they will be hitting in the next few days once this spreads and is confirmed.. The firmware may require a different layout to the default, or might require files to be patched or removed/added.. Guess we shall see.. Glad I have my PSP handy though (was going to leave it at my flat at uni, but brought it home for the holidays instead!)

Seems like you need to have a 3.02 Update EBOOT ready because you have to do that sig check thing that was done with devhook.

Ok, no go for me if you can't change the clock speed...
I play all games at 333 Mhz, and when I watch videos I turn it down to 133 to save some battery...

Well I guess I'll be trying out my first custom firmware later today, this one is too good to pass up. Razz

Do I have to remove any flashed stuff before using this?

I think DH 0.51 sort of flashed something or something like that? Do I need to boot that up and do the uninstall option before "installing" this?

Quote:
3.02 OE-B will run PSX games

How do you sum up something like this little bit of news? By putting it as plainly as possible. Dark_Alex is working on 3.02 OE-B, the successor to OE-A, and by all accounts, 3.02 OE-B will be able to play PlayStation 1 games. Not just any old games though, but pretty much any PS1 game you already have.

Yes, dear readers. This would mean that you can bypass the three basic annoyances many of us would have with the PlayStation Store once OE-B is complete: having to own a PS3, waiting for Sony's PS1 releases, and paying for them. If you own, say, Final Fantasy Tactics, this should presumably allow you to play the original game on your PSP instead of waiting for The Lion War to come out. Repeat said reasoning with the games you have that still aren't available on the PlayStation Store, and you can see just how much mileage we can get from our games.

Of course, it's still a work in progress, so keep your fingers crossed and cheer Dark_Alex on. Before we go, here's a video of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (European Version) running on the work-in-progress version 3.02 OE-B... at full speed. Merry Christmas, you lucky, lucky people!

OOOoooooo yeah Very Happy!!
