I don't drive stoned or drunk. Not even one drink. If I was even in an accident I don't want drugs or alcohol to be a factor whatsoever. I don't know why more people don't 4:20 it at home or go for a walk around the block.

I agree! A friend of mine drove me home when it was -20 outside and his vent in the car didn't work, and he was smoking with the windows were wide open. Crying or Very sad I got sick.

I know of friends that have had accidents while driving clean and none while stoned Very Happy

*edit* oh and while I don't smoke anymore, I would still never drive after drinking alkohol or taking drugs. It's not only your own life you risk...

My friend is a very careful driver.

I was fucking terrified Sad Then half way through I realized he knew what he was doing, that and I was too busy listening to the hairs on my neck performing the nutcracker on ice. Sad

maybe when I was in high school I would have actually been too impaired to drive after smoking weed ... but after you've smoked pot for a few years you just don't get as stoned anymore, at least not to the point of being physically impaired.

I don't smoke in the car while driving of course, nor do I get high for the purpose of making a boring drive exciting.

Oh, and btw, if I happen to be stoned while driving I am EXTREMELY attentive to the road (never speed/run red lights), unlike if I'm sober, listening to music and zoning out in traffic or something, and probably speeding at the same time.

I've been stoned, drunk and cracked up while driving, and to be honest, not one accident. In a way the paranoia, sets you up to be more careful. I never get paranoid on drugs, but I am alot more aware of what I do. I have friends who do whatever drugs and react in a totally different way to me. It depends on your mind-set, plus, a stable childhood, and when you entered into the drug world. Look at me, Im the PM of England. (You know im joking) lol

hahahah wow, people doing drugs and booze and hitting the road and almost sounding like they are proud of their performances... keep it up, you'll get to kill someone one day, don't give up.

you answers are the same shit I hear all the time from drunk drivers or people who are just at the drunk level "yo man ,when I’m buzzed I am SO much more careful, even better than I am sober" yah ok, sadly I am sober when I watch them drive and no they don't drive very well... but they THINK they are doing great.

Driving under the influence kills, no two fucking ways about it.

I know that I dont drive better while drunk. Infact, when Im drunk I dont drive well. But the risk of accidents may not be much bigger, if its late at night (low traffic), and specially if I drive slowly. The easiest way of being involved in a car accident is to drink and then drive "like a pro", "look at me", I mean, to race and/or show off. And it happens all the time, I see idiots doing it every week.

Aboud weed, I didnt smoke and drive yet, and it doesnt sound like a good idea, but it may be less worse than alcohol.

Slightly off topic but there was a snooker player in the UK that couldn't play sober. He could only compete after 15 or so pints. Funniest thing is he used to write the beer off as a business expense so didn't pay tax.

http://sport.guardian.co.uk/snooker/story/0,10158,880042,00.html#article_continue

Found out he was Canadian, the booze was to counter a tremor in his arm and it was 30 pints not 15 lol.

Driving while you're drunk is plain stupid. No ide how it is when you're stoned...

But i have an ide its more relaxing than dangerous.. seen lots of stoned people.
Like yesterday, i drove after a night without sleep... wasn't a too good ide :\

Dunno, mixed views on this. The key difference is weed doesn't give you false confidence, so someone who isn't fit to drive would be more likely to be aware of it and make a sensible decision.

Still, I don't have to pull mangled corpses out of wrecks so my opinion is speculative and doesn't mean shit...................

Are there any studies on the effects smoking weed and driving? I would think it would be like on regular weed; some people have a chance on delevoping psychosis, agressive behaviour, or otherwise, while others do not.
