Generally a 1st person shooter fan but I am looking at other types llike Supreme Commander to have some fun
Crysis was alittle overrated in my book to much hype on graphics and orange box is probably the best general release overall
My favorite new game and replaying it now is Penumbra: Black Plague a good mind
bender

Now that you know my taste
So the question is:
Any games worth a 2nd look in any genre?
Thanks

Well, I recently installed Dawn of War Dark Crusade (as anticipation for Soulstorm Razz), and I'm having a blast! Great game, still looks fine, and gameplay, that's where the real gold is in that game.

Replay value? I think the Witcher is on of the all time top5 in that category, every choice has it's own reaction, a very different reaction, really I was amazed playing it a second time and making all the different choices is almost like playing an expansion pack, you can also play it a third time and mix it up a little, combine the different choices.

yeah id go with witcher, im looking forward to playing it again soon, but on hard difficulty, and picking different paths... furthermore, the sdk is being released soon which will mean mods, and even better, they are remastering it as well, with new animations and models/skins... plus im sure eventually we'll see an expansion pack for it... muhaha its the game that keeps on giving! only thing stopping it from being perfect is co-op.. how fricken sweet would that be! Very Happy

...and to think, i was almost reading to skip the game altogether based on the gameplay vids i saw Wink

I think the last game I actually 'replayed' was farcry about a year or so ago...

at the moment I installed NFS:Most Wanted, NFS: Carbon and NFS: ProStreet ... between the three of them I've been keeping busy Razz Last NFS I played was Underground.

Out of those, you'll probably enjoy MW the most. Police chases are just great. Carbon wasn't as bad as I first thought it was, but not as good as MW. PS is "wtf were they thinking" game. If you thought the open city didn't suite NFS, well, you'll be amazed how much you'll miss it in PS.

Started with most wanted ... got to about 50% completion before I moved on to Carbon. Had to disable the blur to make Carbon playable ... man that shit is annoying Razz Actually almost finished all the career races in Carbon now. Haven't touched PS yet ... although to tell you the truth I pretty much just skip right to the events in both games anyways ...

Sure, yeah, but doing the challenges in MW with the police, now that's a treat. I think Carbon has some as well. When I first played the MW demo's challenge, I felt like in an action movie... Razz
