I hear Hitachi drives firmware has full stealth for online play, anyone know anything about this?
People have been telling me that both the Samsung and Hitachi drives in the 360 can be used to play online but the Samsung drive flash extreme firmware is partial stealth where as the Hitachi firmware full stealth, But in the end both can versions can play online with a backup just fine.
What i would like to know is if the above is true?
The new Hitachi 0078 drives for the 360 right now don't seem to be very reliable when their flashed with the extreme firmware, but they say that's just right now but soon they will be just as reliable as the current 360's released before July 2006. So i wonder as the Hitachi drives are completely stealth online, i wonder if you think it's a good idea to wait for the Hitachi 0078 drives to have reliable flashed firmware so i can definitely play online without no worries, is it worth waiting?
I assume the Hitachi 0078 drives will have full stealth like the current Hitachi drives that have full stealth for online play?

I'm not really sure.
The Hitachi (except v78) hacked Firmware has Firmware Stealth, but no Media Stealth seemingly. Whereas the Samsung hacked Firmware has Media Stealth, but could potientally have Firmware stealth because it has "FirmGuard" which stops the Xbox360 console from reading or writing new Firmware (can only be turned off with the Enable0800 mode, which if I remember right requires a disc and comes with the Hacked firmware). And just for note:
"Firmware Stealth" = Makes the Xbox360 console think that the Firmware of the drive is 100% original
"Media Stealth" = Makes the Xbox360 console think that backups are originals.
To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't even touch Xbox Live if I put hacked Firmware on my Xbox360 DVD Drive, just for safer knowledge that my machine wouldn't become blocked from Xbox Live if it were ever detected, or even worse the machine could become non-usable if Microsoft added some new detection method with one of their Xbox Live updates.
