Ages back, james cameron wanted to make a spider-man film, but sony decided to go in a sam raimi direction instead. yay.
anywho, as you know (or you dont know, because you dont give a shit) sony has picked their new director, marc webb, BUT james cameron is going to be mentoring him when it comes to making the new film, hoepfully in the same way as nolan is lending his help to the new superman flick. Site says hes mentoring the director, but im hoping it'll have a flow-on effect where hes helping him craft the film at least in some way.
some of you will say boo because you all hate cameron now or something, but personally this changes things a bit for me. Im now slightly hopeful and interested in the new spider-man film.
