Hey all... I am using an older FW and finally got my retail copy of GOW only to find out that it wont load on my FW. Apparently there is a dummy security sector that tricks the 360 and then fails to load. My drive is a Hitachi, I think 47.
So my question is this... while I can still play all my old originals.. and all the backups Ive made from my originals.. does anyone know which FW is A. compatible with the fall update (which Ive already done) and B. is compatible with the GOW original retail copy ?
Actually... Ill settle for the best FW at this time. Ill take better media detection over the ability to play ONE original if someone knows how to achieve it. I have this FW, just havent attempted it yet. Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth.rar. Right now, I have to have the disc in the drive when I power up the system for it to be read. Will installing this newer FW allow me to eject and insert discs from the dashboard without the need to restart every time and is it compatible with the fall dash update? Thanks for the advice guys...
