I just got back into town after going to my Aunts Funeral. It sucked so bad, she was only 67 FFS. Its not fair. My grandmas was an absolute mess.

My Aunt has a Masters in English, and used to teach at the university. But over the last 20 or so years she has been fighting for justice, to help people that have been wronged by our justice system.

Here is her website if you want to check it out.

http://www.injusticebusters.com

She also had a flickr site with over 10000 photos she uploaded.

At many times we have been at odds, becasue of political beliefs (Each being at oposite ends of the spectrum) and i wish i could take back some things. It really hit me when i met all of her firends and heard all these stories about how much of a revolutionary she was, hearing about all the marches she participated in. On Nov 4 her and my grandmother marched in the Canada out of Afganistan march, which sadly was her last.

Im not writing this for any simpathy or what not, but just becasue i need to write it, thats all. I wish i never took her and my relationship for granted, but im so glad that i made 4 trips to Saskatoon this year, and i think this has really changed my life. Things happen so sudden, and its not fair.

WHY DO PEOPLE SO YOUNG HAVE TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it does suck. Both sets of grandparents are dead and my mother is suffering from lung disease from smoking. She is always in and out of hospital and it is getting obvious it is only a matter of time.

I had a girlfriend that I cared deeply about die many years ago. It fucks you up bad for a long time but as they say time does heal.

I personally don't believe in the afterlife at all so I find it helps to think of death as something natural and all part of the cycle. You just have to try to celebrate her life instead of focusing on the pain.

She sounded like a great person.

I am very sorry to hear about your aunt

I think anyone who unselfishly helps others accomplished a lot in their life. I am sure she made a huge impact on those families she helped.

I think most of us wish we could take back words we said to people who we lost. Even tho you might of been at opposite ends I am sure she appreciated the feedback, I am sure it keep her on her toes. It would be boring if everybody agreed with us all the time.

My cousin did some really great things. I got mad at him shortly before he died in an accident. I came home to find him building a boat in the living room. There was a skill saw sitting on my carpet and my furniture was all moved. I made up with him tho 1 week before and I felt guilty for a while but then I released it would of never held it against me.
