Hey all, outside of not playing anymore for a long time, anyone have any idea what to do about getting sore eyes from playing console games? My right eye got pretty messed up from playing a console game, like double vision sore. I did some research and seem to keep finding stuff about monitor refresh rates but not a whole lot about tv screen issues with console games. I adjusted the flicker rate on the game Final fantasy 12 is the game btw. And I am uncertain if this adjustment is going to just make it worse or not. Any advice will help. Tried visine too. I also wear glasses.. so yeah any help is appreciated..maybe with some of the settings I might be able to adjust.

Well the obvious question first - when did you last have your eyes checked and the glasses prescribed?
If it was a while ago i'd make another appt to see an optician - maybe you need to take them off to play close up games and stuff? Or perhaps you need stronger lenses.. worth a try
Oh and of course if you can try playing on a few different T.V's

Thank you for your answer I appreciate it. Its been ages since I had a good eye checkup so I need to go take care of that. As far as different tvs, yes its an idea we can try that thank you.. saving up for a lcd screen too.
I just wonder what the game did and wonder why its just in one eye, but I havent played for about 4 days now and today I will put in my contacts to see f that helps, seems to get worse with my glasses, at least its more obvious with them on. I play pretty far away from the tv, (im nearsighted)..my fiance suggested playing closer without glasses too but right now im pretty scared to even look at the screen on that tv anymore.
This happened a long time ago to me, back when I tried another consol game too (digital Devil Saga), it just went away though and I did not know it was related to the game. Having it occur a second time,same thing about 100 hours of accumulated play time later..same symptoms same eye. hmm.
