Does anyone else print the discs for their backed up 360 games? Ive always used printable ritek dl dvd+rs simply because that is the only disc I know of that I can get in the area I live. They are a good disc and I have 30+ backed up games and no problems whatsoever. I also own an R200 printer and rather than having plain white discs with my crap handwriting scrawled across them I thought I would print the disc images on them. I have to say they look 10 times better but I am concerned they will affect the console in some way if the printed discs get hot through prolonged playing. They have been dry for over 24 hours now but I have still yet to try one in the 360 lol.

Any comments on this?

Ive been using printed disks in my ps2 and xbox for ages now.. not the same as a 360 maybe.. But ive never had any probs

Using an r300 printer and the same disks as you (ritek) but single layer obviously

Ive actually given the disks to my son 2 mins after printing and hes played them for ages with no problems.. no ink leakage or smudging.. also use them for films and 2 hours + in the dvd player and they are ok.

Maybe 360 disks get hoter? i dont know cos ive not got one.. hope that helps a bit

they'll probably be fine, only thing to look out for is if your printer is scratching the discs. if theres no scratches they should be fine, its mostly discs with paper labels on them that cause problem.

I don't see how this could affect the 360. The laser is on the other side of the disc wich means the laser diode should be safe from the ink. And you are using plain printable discs, not some stickers wich you print on and then stick them on the discs, because they can make the disc go bulky and in the worst case destroy the disc in the drive if it spins fast enough.

Wow that was some rapid replies ... thanks!

I checked the discs after printing and thankfully they have not been scratched which is good because I dont keep the images lol.
I have actually used a few sticky white paper labels and printed on those. Is that a big no no?

I print all my disks. I don't put colour on them just plain text. I've never had any problems at all. R300 ftw btw.

I have seen verbatim printables for sale, they're a bit more expensive then jeweled.. and they come on a spindle instead of jewelbox
