Okay so i aquired a new torrent of gothic3. The razor1911 edition. It was added not long ago.
But it only contained files like this: rzr-gtc3.001, rzr-gtc3.002, rzr-gtc3.003 ETC.
Well ok so far. But the problem is that they cant be UNZIPPED. Wtf?
Either this is some fake shit or do i need a particular program to pull these of?

Oh nearly forgot. It's been done with another program but right now I can't recall which one you use to unzip it with.

Once you have all the files - check them with the par2 files (if you have them - and you will need Qucikpar, a free util)
once all have checked out ok. then install Winrar. you can do nothing without Winrar its the standard for nearly all releases. PC,XBOX etc etc.
Unpack the rars with winrar then you will have an ISO. mount this with daemon tools or burn it with nero or a similar burning prog

As far as I know torrent releases do not include par files so using quickpar on it is pointless. I use Winrar for .001 etc unzipping. It may not associate itself with .001 files by default but it does work. If you are getting errors when trying to unzip them the files may be damaged or incomplete but I assume this is not the case since you didnt mention any error messages.

Some times there isn't a file that has the .rar ending. The first file is a .r00 or .r01 (you just have to point Windows to WINRAR and teach it to recognize those file extensions are associated with it also).

btw meant to say, some files named 001,002 etc are created with a prog called Hjsplit.. dunno why some people use this prog but if winrar wont open the 001 file then D/L Hjsplit.. its a free prog

ok I just have to say that Hfric your sig always scares me thinking there are bugs on my monitor when I scroll down, I have a fear of bugs jumping onto my face and biting my eyes out and stuff.

i agree!... that cought me a couple times and made me go "whaa!... oh wait... grrr"

guys, just open the file with the first number with winrar and you should be done. It s the old way of winrar-file-numbering. Anyone longer than 2 seconds in the scene should have seen a release packed like this really, buncha n00bs and no0blets
