hi guys
can some of you smart ppl help me out with this problem that i get every time i play a game....

well the problem is everytime i play a game i get some weirdo graphics issues i dont even know how you call that, i attached a image of this problem i made it while playing scarface, but its not scarface only.. same problems for :
just cause
hitman bm
half life 2 + episode 1
call of juarez
el matador

some times i have full screen with that weird shit

i really dont know where the problem is Confused * i have all the laters drivers n stuff
my comp specs arent that bad i think for each game i mentioned
P4 3.4 Ghz
2 DDR RAM
256 MB GF6800 Ultra + latest drivers
and enough HD space

plzz someone help me out?? i would be very happy

i did, just downloaded oct version of microsoft site but still same problem
could this problems accure because of my virus scanner?

It's not a driver problem, nor DirectX, it's not software related. It's a problem with your videocard. Either it's overheating - check if the fan is working properly, clean up the dust if necesary, either the card is not getting enough power from your PSU - either your PSU isn't powerfull enough or the power cable that goes to the videocard is faulty (try switching them around, make sure it connects properly). Finally (although unlikely) - it could be that your GPU is damaged and you'll have to return the card.

damn Sad ur absolutely right
i checked the vidcard information site and there was this info:
6800 ultra 256 mb Minimum 450w system power supply <- mine
6800 ultra 512 mb Minimum 350w system power supply <- strange?? more mb but less Power supply?? dont kinda get it Sad

and ive checked my all my specs and i found out i got 400 W power supply, ffs
is me f*cked now? but still strange it worked always even with FEAR last year and i think that game req much more then the above games? but since hitman blood money i began to get this kinda graphics problems Sad
stupid f00ls at the shop where i bought my system they never told me about this
oh well i think im gonna try the second option you mentioned: try to clean the dust

lol i opened my case today to clean it up and i almost got lost in the dust that was there especcialy on my vid card lol

now all is running fine and my temperature from my vid card lowered by 30 C <-omg
