I got a warning from a moderator here that my sig pic was too large and that it was inappropriate. I was told I had 1 day to change it.
The moderator told me it had to be no taller than 100 pixels even though CRA$HH110011001's sig pic is 150 pixels tall, _Sin_'s sig pic is 120 pixels tall, Acer's is 130 pixels tall, Spun[k]'s sig pic is 128 pixels tall, maxiepaxie's is 125 pixels, ad4m's is 119 pixels, and docertabum's pic is 120 pixels tall. DopeSickKid's sig pic is over the forum's 60KB rule coming in at 218KB.
Despite several other people having larger sig pics than me I complied with the moderator's demand.
However I humbly think the moderator is wrong in saying that my sig pic is inappropriate.
1) This website contains lots of swearing so it is not meant for the young or faint of heart.
2) This website has a special section devoted to porn (both hardcore and softcore). Anything goes!
3) This website has a section regarding world news and headlines. Many things get said in this section that are controversial. Moderators have allowed many statements that are extremely offensive. I am not being critical of the moderators but I am pointing out that this website is very open to discussions and arguments from both political extremes (right and left).
My sig contains a portrait of George W. Bush as a Nazi. Many people have written this very thing in the forums. Why is the written word acceptable but a sig pic isn't? This sig pic is not meant to glorify Nazis obviously.
My sig pic states "Amercian Christian Neo-cons are the real terrorists". Terrorists as in someone who uses fear to control people. How could this statement be offensive to anyone but a absolutely tiny portion of the United States who happen to be neo-cons in power?
Is it the Christian reference that is offensive? Nope, because JeanPerrier has a sig pic that says "I found Jesus, he is in the trunk of my car"

Wow you really went into this hard.
I think that staying under the maximum height is a good thing, else it makes you scroll trou to much space just containing sigs and only some few words (Thou sometimes you can use some kind of ad-block).
Then for your sig buisness, you sig was 189 pixels high... Thats really TOO much, and if you compare that with those you listed is quite a difference (except someones there). And I can only speak for myself (Old spun[k]), I made that one quite fast, and only did a quick assumption of the limit of my sig, and sure its to big, sorry about that.
And for the content, meh..  I really don't care, but some may.. Do you think a likewise picture with muslims on it stating "these are the real terrorist" would get a "that's cool" reaction from everyone ? I think not.
edit: And we can take the swearing topic into this to... IT SUCKS! First that toon supermax2004 do it, and now it seems like everyone have to use "fuck" this and "fuck" that..
I knew this would come, everyone was like "OMFG LOLOLOLOLOLOL look, he uses the word fuck so many times that I almost fell outta my chair laughing my balls off". IT WAS NOT FUN!

Religion shouldn't be taken serious at all. So i don't mind your sig.

You informed me my sig pic was too large. It was 150 pixels tall. Despite several other people having over-sized sig pics I changed it immediately like you requested.
I then also PMed you asking what needed to change in my sig pic to make it acceptable to you. You never replied and instead just banned. You never bothered explaining what offended you.
You gave me less than 12 hours before banning me despite you saying I had one day to change it.
The moderators on these forums are EXTREMELY inconsistant and ban crazy. As I mentioned in my top post comparing the USA to nazis and Bush to hitler is acceptable in written form but showing an image isn't?! HUH? Several users have Adolph Hitler in their avatar and they are not banned. How could this be acceptable? One user along with a hitler avatar had a link to a white supremacist website and NOTHING was done about him until his posts got him in trouble several months later.
Some moderators here need to calm the hell down with the bans and MODERATE. Give someone a chance to correct the problem. Work the issue out instead of just ban the shit out of everyone.

Ofcourse i meant telling you to change it into another since its not approperiote, and that if you do that the other should be 100*600.
Perhaps i was not really clear about that so sorry.

well, if you ask me, appropriate depends on the context. he obviously isn't a nazi, nor does he support them (in fact, the opposite).

The very original was 189 but I knew that was too large and it did not last long. I changed it to 150 for several days before I got the PM asking to make it 100 pixel tall.
But whatever.

My suggestion pending the saints response is to put your sig back with the swastikas removed.. Mods have recently been given added "features".. if its not suitable or we get complaints.. we will remove it for you. Hopefully no more bans will come due to signitures/avatars..

Hmmm, I imagine there will be several American conservatives on this forum that will scream about my sig pic and cause it to get removed or me banned.

The svastika is an ancient symbol representing auspiciousness and a symbol of God. The word can be divided into the components sva (one's own) and astika (it is). Thus, it means "that which is one's own or that which is independent." Since the Divine is the only independent entity in the universe, the svastika is a symbol for God. Everything else is independent upon the Divine for its existence, maintenance and dissolution. The sign has been associated with Ganapati most probably because he is the lord of good fortune and this sign is the sign depicting good fortune. Where the blue pear (bindu) begins to move at the commencement of creation, its initial movement forms a line. If one extrapolates that movement into the the four cardinal directions, a cross is depicted. If one would like to convey the idea of omnipresence, one may put "flags" on the ends of the arms of the cross and thus a svastika is formed. Sometimes, it is said that the svastika represents the fact that all paths to the divine, whether straight or crooked, eventually only lead to the divine. It is a symbol of geometric perfection. In the minds eye, it can be conceived of either a stationary or as being in perpetual motion, with its arms whirling like a giant cosmic pinwheel. In a clockwise rotation, its seems to depict the outward dispersion of the universe, while in a counter-clockwise rotation, it seems to depict the universe imploding back into its essence.
