Ok, a friend of mine is having issues installing windows onto his RAID0 SATA setup.
Hardware
Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI
AMD Athalon64 3000+ @ 1.8
1x Maxtor 200gb IDE
2x Western Digital 74GB 10k RAPTORS Sata
4x 512 Corsair TwinX Ram
2x Geforce 6600GT SLI'ed
Pioneer DVD-RW (108)
The RAID setup is working correctly, the drives are sitting in RAID0 and are healthy. We have tried both the Silicon Image and Nvidia drivers on the support page below (however, we may not have used the correct ones, some advice on that would be good). and they allow the windows installation to complete.
When windows tries to boot for the first time it shows a "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_DRIVE" blue screen and restarts. The info on M$'s website indicates an IDE caching error .. it states to run a chkdsk /r which we have run, it does repair things but still no boot.
thoughts?
I have yet to have a good look at things myself, I have been leaving my friend to it as he is a techie, however he has reached the end of his tollerance with the thing and has asked me to take over..
