Man, consider yourself lucky
I havent been on vacation in years. Mainly because I have no one to go with anywhere and my exwife's idea of a vacation was an expensive night out downtown and a 5 star hotel stay...
I really wanna go to europe. Spend a week in london, paris, amsterdam and a 4th city I havent decided on. I dunno where. Ive been thinking about milan perhaps
The money aint the problem, I could save up or take out a loan...i just want someone to go with, preferably a woman

How's the USA for tourists?
is it like europe?
Me and my family thinks of going into a big trip to the USA next year, but we don't know what will be better for us - South america (argentina+brazil),USA, or europe.
So far we experienced europe and it was quite good - The history, the nice building, the culture and the views.
But i don't know about the USA, it all looks to modern for me compared to europe.
For example the brick buildings, not alot of ancient history but nice places to go like manhattan euro disney etc...

yo may come to visit Chile! very friendly place to stay. if so, travel to the "Carretera Austral" or "Austral Road" it goes all south of Chile. wonderfull landscape. peace and quiet, and a lot of Jews travelling around, along with many Europeans and Northamericans.
gonna try to find a link to there. ahhh!! many termal waters as well
but try to come on January February, or may be to cold and rainy.

Me, for example go to the same place every year. But i'm not a typical tourist hehe.
But if you are a tourist, it really depends on where you are going too. Most cities have something historical things. Some cities are just made for businessstuff.
So best thing to do when making a trip in the usa is to see what cities have to offer, and make a route by connecting these cities .

Ye i heard that chille is a very nice place, though is it safe for families?
I know that it's a very popular place for the young people(ushwaia), but i'm intending on going to somewhere with my whole family and i heard that this place might not be so safe for families, because of the gangs/crime rates.
@skidrow -
Yes ofcourse cities like new your are at first priority and etc... but is there alot to do there in 20 days? we plan on maybe doing west coast+east coast.

can't be too bad
Quote: | CRIME: Crime rates are low to moderate throughout Chile and are moderate in Santiago, Valparaiso, and other major cities. American citizens visiting Chile should be as careful in cities as they would be in any city in the United States. There have been few violent crimes committed against Americans. Most crimes against foreigners involve pick pocketing or theft from purses, backpacks, or rental cars. Such crimes have been reported in all areas of Chile frequented by tourists. In Santiago, visitors should be especially alert to the possibility of crime at the Plaza de Armas; at major hotels and restaurants in the Las Condes, Vitacura, and Providencia areas, and in the Suecia entertainment district. In Valparaiso, visitors should be especially alert in the port area. Tourists using taxis in Santiago should be alert to possible scams involving currency switching. There have been reports of taxi drivers switching 10,000 peso notes given to them by passengers for 1,000 peso notes and demanding additional payment, since these notes are similar in appearance. The emergency number for the police (Carabineros) is 133. |

dunno about 20 days, since amerika is quite big haha. If you are by car then you probably spent most time in the car driving from city to city. By airplane it can be doable.
it really depends on what you wanna do/see.

NYC, Boston, Washington DC, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Chicago ... There is enough to do an any of these cities for at least a week (well not Niagara Falls, but at least there are casinos there )
 |
really? because driving takes allot of time mind you.
