I burned RELOADED v. of Prey on a DVD for a friend, he mounts the bin's in D-tools.

BEFORE he has to enter his cdkey, he gets this error:


Error Number: 0x80040703
Description: Failed to find DLL function: CDKey.GetCDKey

Setup will now terminate.



I did some Googling and there appear to be some people who have this same problem, even people who bought the game.. He tried copying the CD to his hd and setup from there (which seemed to help for some other people) but no luck yet...

Anyone has an idea?

have you tried re-burning? might of been a problem during burning or something?

haven't tried that, since I read people with the real version had the same problem I assumed it wasn't a messed up disc Razz

my friend had the same problem when i first burned it on dvd for him.. told me it gave him some bullshit error with the cdkey. so then i burned the actual ISO image onto the dvd so he can mount it in DT, it worked fine after that..
