This is a weird textureless, absolutely tiny (500kb), multiplayer team-based explode-the-buildings game with planes and boats.

PREVIEW VIDEO and DOWNLOAD here:
http://www.crypticsea.com/anewzero/index.html

You pilot a plane to drop bombs/missiles, or steer a missile boat or gunboat, to kill the enemys base which includes 2 factories and a capitol building, while trying to prevent the opponents doing the same.

Money is awarded to the player at a steady interval, you'll need that to rebuy when you die (and you will die), and the income is crippled by having your factories destroyed.

Pretty much everything you can do in this game takes a whole bunch of practice, but it's fun to do and very different from other stuff. And the 'splosions!

It only the demo out now and I've no idea when it's planning to be done.

Protips:
- When you've bought a plane and are on the hangar deck, hold 1 or 2 to load a bomb/missile. Return to hangar for more ammo (also for boats).
- When bombing, use the weapon camera in your corner to learn how to hit the target. Ofcourse it will vary with speed, angle and altitude, but it usually hits if you keep the target near the lower edge of the camera.
- With missiles, i usually just aim with the middle of the space between the planes nosetip and the flight path marker.

looks fun, too bad about the needs practice part. i might be willing to invest some time into it, but my friends like to be able play smth reasonably well from the start and since this is a multiplayer game, it might be a problem Smile
gonna give it a try this weekend, anyway.

Even this little shit has an installer. What happened to good old-fashioned rars ?

Do I need a trigazillion proggies in my registry/programs list ? No.

Sorry for the rant, the game looks interesting.

yeah, i hate that too, especially since i try a lot of indies. i only create shortcuts for a few that i play more often.

it's a bit weird that they built an installer for version 0.71. even if it uses the registry to store its settings they could've checked whether they exist when running it for the first time and create them right then. my guess is that this was the quicker way, visual studio can create an installer automatically and they prolly just selected which reg paths to create when run.
but since i would've chosen the easier way too, i don't hold any grudges against them Smile

I've been having fun with it, being rather average just makes the perfect bomb runs even sweeter. I guess I'd say it needs a little practice to get up and flying with it, and lots of practice to master. I consider that a good thing, it adds to the replay value.

You can't suicide but you can leave the game and join again with 60 moneys.
Also if you can manage to land in the waters near the hanger you can refuel from down there.
