Developer today announced Zombie Driver, an upcoming top down vehicle based arcade action game where you control heavily armed cars against the undead. The game is supposed to feature players fighting off the hordes of the creepy crawlies in a free roaming city. Look for 17 different missions, six different vehicles, lots of upgrades and weapons (rail guns, machine guns, flame throwers and the like) and more. The game should be available in November 2009.

Minimum:

128 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible or better video card with pixelshader 3.0

Recommended:

512 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible or better video card with pixelshader 3.0

Something tells me the FPS drop when using a non-nvidia card is going to be minimal.

Played it. Game feels a bit crap to play, like the camera is making me dizzy or smth. Gameplay felt really boring, driving and hitting zombies felt like no fun.

Definitely a fun game, enjoying it! Dislike not having a map though, and the trawling for health after getting slaughtered by Boomers, I'd also love the ability to rotate the camera myself ... but other than that? Fun!

Anyone figured what that cryptic shit means in video settings? Float point mode, maybe that's FPS limited or variable? NVperfHUD? I hate games that do that in video settings Mad

Floating point mode *probably* switches between different modes, which differ in speed and precision. CPU-dependant I guess.
EDIT: What JBeckham said also made sense. Oh well.

And for the other, google is your friend.

Floating point is a type of shader calculation unit or how to best describe it as far as I'm aware, HDR for example is usually 8-bit floating point or 16-bit floating point. (32 bit or 64 bit HDR Texture or how to say, not that good at this.)

Probably the accuracy of the shader calculations done and thus quality, slower would be more precise and maybe a bit better looking whereas faster is the opposite.

EDIT: VGA might be right as well, uncertain.
