I dont get any crashes but I do notice differences between the demo of the game and the Mdatje release. But I also didnt get as far in the game as you yet, so who knows, maybe it will crash there for me too.
but heres the errors i notice in the mdatje version which never happened in the demo:
-in grandfather's spirit place in the desert, when i look around the sky changes from bright to dark randomly...
-when looking through portals, sometimes all i see is a black box and cant see whats on the other side
-the game runs more lagged and slowly on the EXACT same settings on which the demo ran without a single slowdown
Im downloading a 2.2gig "retail" DVD of this game by tRANce6 and we'll see what happens.
between changing nvidia drivers, do you clean the old ones out first?
cos you should
you should always do a proper cleanup when changing complex drivers such as videocard ones
and not only nvidia ones
sometimes updates work fine without cleaning up, but you shouldn't count on it, as results may be unexpected
1. uninstall drivers and check from device manager aswell
2. reboot to safe mode
3. run drivercleaner and get rid of anything remotely nvidia related
4. reboot to normal windows
5. install new drivers
