Auto Flash out now 25-6

Look for XTRM-HITACHI-ALL-V1

Now all Hitachi drives are done ...

Xtreme firmware for Hitachi 47D Xbox 360
------------------------------------------------------

Here it is, the long awaited World first Xbox 360 backup firmware modification to boot game backups on Hitachi!

Features
-----------------

Boots all Xtreme Xbox 360 backups
Boots all Xtreme Xbox 1 backups supported by emulator
Boots all Xbox 360 originals
Boots all Xbox 1 originals supported by emulator
Use on Xbox Live at own risk

Technical details
------------------------

Reads Xbox 360 security sector from PSN 04FB1F (Layer 0)
Reads Xbox 1 security sector from PSN 605FF (Layer 0)
Flashes sector 9003e000 (Master Checksum)
Flashes sector 90035000 (Security Sector Read)
Flashes sector 9001c000 (Drive Response Table Decrypt)
Flashes sector 90003000 (Custom Code)
Flashes sector 90027000 (Challenge Response)

Flashing your drive
---------------------------
xtreme.bat automatically makes a backup of your dvd drive firmware called orig.bin.
Plug SATA cable from DVD drive to PC. Power cable drive still connected to Xbox 360
Ensure Hitachi drive is in mode b either by two wire trick or slax linux boot cd
Go to Windows
Run xtreme.bat batch file from a dos prompt specifing drive letter eg "xtreme.bat g"
All done!
Run restore.bat to revert to original firmware eg "restore.bat g"

Thanks to everyone at Xboxhacker.net for all their discussions. Thanks go to Seventhson for flashsec and memdump and Loser for firmcrypt, without these tools this would not be possible.

Hitachi drive seems to be less tolerant of dual layer media. Try a few times to boot a backup.
Firmware for 46 version will be released soon but I cannot test it. Code is offset slightly throughout the firmware.

Greetings

Fred

So if I read it right , you do't have to extract the old firmware and take the keys out .
You just have to run extreme.bat and the rest will go automaticly ?
The old ( and good ) firmware is backupped and the hack one is inside the drive ?

I have the boot cd from slax
I boot with the cd , then when i get to the login screen ( root - toor ) I reboot the PC
with ctrl - alt - del
Then It boots up with my HD , then I go the dosprompt and try the xtreme.bat
Still get the same error as before ??

What am I doing wrong ? or is there another methode for flashing the firmware
Can I do it with the old LG software ?? MTKflash ....

yes, it makes a backup and there is a Restore.bat file to run.

1st reports ain't to good though on DL Layer Media compatability, to the point alot of people are saying the firmware may not be right. I'm waiting for the hitachi 46 release myself so cannot test anything yet but am ready to go

Commodore4eva released a new improved version (v1.1) of his Xtreme Firmware for Hitachi-LG GDR-3120L 47D Xbox 360 DVD Drive and said he will release a version of firmware version 46 on monday.
From Commodore4eva on xboxhacker.net:
Quote:

This will improve detection of backups.
46 Firmware has been completed. Double checking all code before release on monday.

might help those with media problems

Great

You can load the new firmware and get to Bmode with hot SATA swap.

All xtreme method ones, that includes all that come with SS included or pre-inserted and havent been nuked (as in, WORK!), and older rels that have been matched and verified with a specific SS.

all working fine here on my Hitachi 46DH using verbs on pioneer 109 or 108. I do have to use the Plug&play controller reboot method or i could use the HDD soft-reboot as that works every time also, but not had one not load yet on 1st attempt using the controller method with the plug&play charger plugged into 360 and controller, tried over 20 so far with no failures.

anyway here's how i do it with wireless contoller & plug&play charger
1. Turn on xbox 360 with no game inserted.
2. Eject tray at dash.
3. Put backup in tray.
4. Press and hold X in the middle of controller.
5. Select turn off console. Tray will go back in on its own.
6. Wait a few seconds... You can hear the disk spinning.
7. Turn on console with the X in the middle of the controller.
8. Hopefully you can enjoy playing your game.
