|
 |
So, I am currently using the latest Nod32 versions right now, and I have am having a bad feeling that it only gets the option to either rename, leave or DELETE (No like) the file that is infected with a virus, and the clean (disinfect) option is blanked out in grey.. so... maybe I should reconsider what anti-virus program to use?
Which Anti-Virus program is best?

NOD32 at the moment, cuz it´s light in cpu usage. But Kaspersky is also good.

I have two computers. 1 running Symantec AV Corp 10.1.0.401 and the other running mcafee enterprise V8.0i Patch11. The corporate/enterprise editions are best, not as much as a resource hog compared to the home editions

Bitdefender - manual scan about, oh, once every six months.
In 10 years I've had 1 virus (on my Wolf3d floppy), two java trojans, and one browser hijack.
If you need to rely on an AV scanner in a small/no network setting then chances are you are already fucked Plus, AV scanners + hardcore gaming aint a good mix.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

kaspervsky
won't totally rape your OS when installed
i never have it on all the time
just run it once a week or so and check suspicious files
haven't had a virus in nearly ten years, so it's a horrid waste of time and resources better spent using a proper firewall and non-ie browser (stay away from m$ outlook aswell)
