Works fine here as well on that level and the next few that I've played - the game has its moments, some nice ideas in there, graphics aren't the best but do the job and I liked the way the game encourages you to do secondary objectives for rewards. Also liked the slo-mo effects when you clip someone in the head or theres a particuarly spectacular kill, nothing really new or especially innovative about the game but its a better than average FPS in my opinion that funs for in small doses.

This for me, imo, is one of the best games to grace the big black box.
I've now been through it on every level, difficulty, collecting everything and claiming all 204 medals. Its great! The final medal gives you use of the minigun, which for me takes the fun out of it really, no more skill needed!
I heartily recommend it for any fan of the genre, and any gamer in general, although it is mega violent and full of swearing. parents beware!!

I have played and completed black inside 2 days of play. Far too short and that took the shine off it for me. It didn't make me want to play it again like urban chaos did. I just liked the rewards system for different difficulty levels and thought it similar to goldeneye on the n64 in that respect, each time you completed it on harder difficultys you were rewarded, and thats what kept me coming for more.
Black was good, but it wasn't as good as this in my opinion.

What was so great about Black anyway?? I was looking forward to it but after I finished it I got the feeling it was mainly hype. It was ok but it was nothing special at all. I can't understand how some guys can call Black the best FPS ever. Actually it was pretty uninspired and forgettable. It didn't even have a story. Black won't come to mind in 10 years when I'm thinking of great Xbox games.
So far I only played the first level of Urban Chaos but I tried two or three more levels for some minutes and the experience was already more fun than Black. The gameplay and the graphics seem to be pretty good and the riot shield is cool.
I often enjoy a game without a big name and a lot of hype much more than the famous big counterparts. I think it's often the case that people don't give lesser known games a fair chance and at the same time overlook many flaws in games with big names and hype.

my sentiments exactly Weedo, uninspired. Sums it up perfectly i think. Nothing new there.
fun while it lasted, but i've never been back to it, and think i've given to my nephew now!

Can anyone tell me what difference the difficulty level actually makes as i've now played the first level on easy, elite and terror difficulty and so far i havent noticed a difference at all??
i think this is one of the better fps' released on the xbox....great game up there with doom3, black, hl2 & riddick... most of the time the gfx are great with top lighting & partical fx... and the controls work well
even the missus loves this one & she normally hates fps on the xbox

i think opposite,CR was good while it lasted, too arcady for fps, played it once & sure not playing it again,Black have some great atmosphere, weapons sounds, gfx is also far superior than CR

Chronicles of Riddick?
Personally I preferred the Timesplitters series over both Black and Urban Chaos perhaps even over Halo 2 in single player. Black was an immense technical achievement and had some great moments in particular the tiered bridge level which I loved and the level where you were running through an area populated by several RPG soldiers - ultimately though it was 2-3 hours too short for me and as you said had little in the way of replay value with no co-op or multiplayer and no unlocks worth playing for just harder difficulty levels.
Both Timesplitters 2 and Future Perfect on the other hand had a solid single player campaign backed up by varied gameplay, great humour/story especially the way the time aspect was integrated into the story, a huge selection of weapons, oddball characters, great unlocks along the same lines as Goldeneye, co-op campaign, insane mini modes/challenges, 4 player splitscreen multiplayer which included masses of maps, vehicles, character models, customisable weapon sets, game modes and power ups (again along the same lines as Goldeneye) - just such a complete game IMO, really underated too I never hear anyone raving about it.
