I dont know what it is, but I just don't like the look of the game.. Im sure gameplay wise it will rock, but the looks just put me off. Id have gone back to the old school cartoon look of the originals..

It is back to them, only some things are fully 3D :/ |

Those flash vids on the main site I linked in my last post are pretty jerky and don't do the game justice. I have seen actual game being played on a DS-Lite on another vid and the whole thing is butter smooth.
This game is supposed to be Super Mario 3 part 2; the longest gap between sequels in history ?
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

yea, and the new power ups are sweet. The shrink + walk on water wall kick thing is great. I haven't seen a cape / flying thing yet which I'm quite up set about. Also on the levels they don't go into the sky much like in older versions  . Still i'm sure it'll be there.

It's out and it is really good. I'm sure all you DS guys here already have it, what do you guys think ?

It's good but not that good It's too easy imo. Some good stuff, but it's more like super princess peach. Very well made, but too easy and short.
Of course I haven't completed it yet, but it's taken me less than 30 mins to do the first 2 worlds with all the shit unlocked (including the cannons) and the coins.
It's a good game, but I still think super mario world is the best even though this has more stuff to do, it's not on par with it.
The wall kick + shrinkage / big mushroom is great, but the levels are too short and there's not a whole lot to do. The best bit so far is in the 2nd mini bowser castle (i think) where you get the 2nd coin by wall kicking inside that moving platform. I like elements like that but the rest hasn't been great.
Of course it's made to a great standard, I just miss a cape / tail I suppose but it also feels way too much like super princess peach.

GO to the end and on the last spinny thing land on the shell guy and go in the orrange pipe (same place as the 3rd coin) then theres 2 blocks. break them and the 2 hidden 1s to the right and then get the flag.
It's either that or, just go through the level and finish it normally (i cant remember which I did)

Thanks for the help Sublime, but I'm so rubbish that even after playing for 1.5 -2 hours today so far, I cannot even find level 2-A .. I have progressed to World 3 and 5 (via cannon in world 1)
I'll find it eventually, after all that's what makes Mario games so much fun.

Well some'1s playin on my DS at teh moment so i'll tell you a walkthrough when I get it back. It's in world 2-3 though I think. I dont think it was hard to get there. Give me a while and i'll report back then.

got it. Go to 2-3
Down the pipe etc. through the room, past the 'maze' (where the 2nd coin is) and the piranha thing. Go to the water and hit the button. Where the coins are there's a hole in the ceiling. swim throug the hole and run to the left where there's another switch. Swim with the water and go to the right and exit. And you're done! (notice on the mini map at the bottom mario isn't at the final flag, it's a different place to the normal exit)

Haha 30 mins for the first 2 worlds. There are about 25 levels in those two worlds. So you are saying you went through most of them in under 2 minutes and got all the coins. Also, you managed to do the second runthroughs you have to do to get some of the secrets in almost no time.
Stop talking fucking shite Sublime. Oh and of course it is easy when you sit in IRC and ask people where to get coins you absolute muppet.
I'm not trying to say it's the longest game in the world because it's not but at least try and give people a realistic idea of the longevity of the game.

25 levels? there's about 15 and I did get the coins and the pipes and the houses etc. I only asked u about the tight rope thing pretty soon and even then it wasn't long. I haven't played anything since though.

There is 19 levels in the first two worlds. The number of levels is pretty academic anyway since it is virtually impossible to do the first two worlds 100% in the first 30 minutes of playing the game. It took about 4 of us on IRC searching 1-3 and the mini castle in the first world to find out how to get the first cannon ffs.
The game is short but it's not that short.

I found the first cannon pretty easily though. 30 mins isn't long when each level takes about 1 minute to complete really. Ok maybe not 30 mins dead on, but it wasn't ages, like an hour. 45mins at most.
